What summaries and alerts does Nella send?
Nella runs regular summaries and alerts from your connected books and sends them to your Nella portal and by email. When you connect, it switches on a Monday cashflow summary, a Monday overdue-invoices list, a monthly performance report and a connection check. You can add others, such as a daily cash update, margin watch or a cash threshold alert, and choose when each runs.
Try it on your own books
Connect your accounting software and get your Nella Score in minutes. Nella Pro is free for 60 days, no card, including the entries you approve posted to your books. After that, Nella Free keeps reading your books, with no time limit.

Cash update, revenue and spend, aged debtors, top customers, margin watch and subscription review.
Alerts when something changes
Cash below a level you set, a cost line rising by more than an amount you set, or Nella losing access to your books.
Your schedule
Daily, weekly or monthly, on the day and time you choose, in your own time zone.
What it does not do
Stated plainly, because a figure you can trust is one whose limits you know.
- Alerts tell you when something changes, not every day it stays the same, and the same alert does not repeat within 20 hours.
- A summary is only as current as your bookkeeping. Nella will not present figures as current when they are older than the task allows.
- Tasks arrive in your Nella portal and by email.
Every recent run is listed, including the ones with nothing to report, so a quiet week is never mistaken for a task that did not run. Step-by-step set-up: Tasks and alerts.
Nella provides financial information and education, not accounting or tax advice. Nella shows you the numbers. When a question needs professional judgment, such as a filing or a tax decision, Nella says so and points you to a qualified accountant.
Where the data comes from
Nella connects to Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent. Nothing in your books changes unless you give permission in Nella.
How deeply it reads varies by platform — see the supported-platform table — and how your data is handled is set out in full.
